If you’re having trouble moving forward on something you’ve been dreaming of, there’s a good chance it’s something you ‘think’ is a good match instead of something that your heart is calling you towards.
Your head is good at telling you all the things you ‘should’ be doing or the things that are ‘expected’ of you.
And it’s good at scaring you into doing things you really don’t desire to do…
But your heart KNOWS what feels good, what’s motivating and inspiring to you.
Your heart doesn’t care what makes ‘sense’ or what seems ‘rational’ or ‘logical’. All it cares about what ‘feels’ right. What ‘feels’ aligned. What ‘feels’ exciting and motivating to you.
Without all the ‘feels’, it’s unlikely you’ll move forward.
And if you do, there’s a good chance you’re taking steps because you’re telling yourself you should instead of because you DESIRE it.
Are there times in life where it’s good to do things that don’t feel good?
Well, why would you want to? If it doesn’t feel good, then why are you doing it in the first place?
That’s not to say you’ll always be comfortable of course. But when something feels good, when it feels like it flows from your heart and spirit, the stretch, challenge and growth you experience is just part of the journey.
And you embrace that, because it’s usually why you’re excited about what you’re doing in the first place.
Whenever you feel stuck, it can help to just ask yourself this simple question: Is this desire coming from my head or my heart? And then just FEEL into it.
