Sometimes when you’ve got a lot on your plate and you’re feeling overwhelmed your mind starts to play tricks on you. It tells you you’re not doing a good enough job. It tells you to work harder to keep on top of everything so it all doesn’t implode. It beats you up about what you’ve been doing, what you’ve not been doing and all terrible things might happen as a result of you not being ‘good enough’. Sometimes your mind tries to convince you that anyone else would do a better job of it than you... and that soon someone will find out you haven’t a clue what you’re doing. But the weight of all this pressure is exhausting. And stops you enjoying your life because you get stuck in your head, fearful of moving forward in case you muck it all up or make things worse for yourself. It doesn’t have to be this way. Imagine sitting comfortably, at ease with all you’ve done to this point and knowing your best self was absolutely ‘good enough’. How would it feel to let those thoughts go, free to be present in the moment and able enjoy your life again? How would it feel to know, it’s all going to be okay? This is absolutely possible for you. There’s no need for you to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders any more because it’s not just your weight to bear. You can let some of it go. You can hand some of it over. You can give some of it back. And you can ask for help. Then you can move forward confidently with the rest, knowing you’re on track.
