Part 10 - 'Plan' and make every day both inspiring AND productive.

14 REFLECTIONS FROM 2016 TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE AMAZING THINGS IN 2017.
Part 10 - 'Plan' and make every day both inspiring AND productive.
It’s easy to get caught up in exhaustion, overwhelm, thoughts of the past and worries about the future. Yet the present moment is all we have.
So, how will you make the most of the life you’ve been given?
Do you know what inspires you or what drives and motivates you?
What, exactly, leaves you feeling satisfied at the end of each and every day?
And how do make every day inspiring and productive? Not just imagining yourself living your dream in some distant and far off time and place, but to actually live an inspiring life every single day?
Some people think planning is boring. They prefer to live by the seat of their pants. And that’s totally okay. After all, this is just about making the most of every second right?
Planning CAN be boring. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Having a plan or a clear intention that you connect to deeply, then following it through, gives us a natural sense of fulfillment and accomplishment every single day.
The days I feel most amazing are the ones I lived fully in the moment, enjoyed myself AND also the ones where I feel really proud of what I’ve done or achieved.
Achievement, in this sense, is about our own internal sense of fulfillment – not someone else’s external measure of success. It’s more about feeling satisfied about squeezing every last ounce of satisfaction and joy from your day.
Perhaps you lay by the pool with a great book that’s been sitting on your shelf for a while…
Or maybe you made your first million.
Whatever floats YOUR boat.
Regardless of the physical outcome, there’s immense satisfaction in looking back on your day, feeling you had fun and moved your life forward in some way.
You don’t have to plan every moment.
You don’t need things to be boring or regimented.
You just need to create your day intentionally. Simple as that.
At the start of every day you may find it helpful to ask yourself the following question: ‘What three things can I do to lift my sense of inspiration today?’
Then list three inspiring activities on the page.
If you’re feeling flat and lacking energy, choose activities that massively lift and inspire you, or something physical to boost your energy - like going for a walk or jog.
Or it might be something you just really enjoy doing, like working with a client, writing your book or putting focused time into an inspiring project.
It could be something less exciting which you’ve been putting off for a while that will give you a sense of massive achievement… like finishing off something that’s been weighing on you.
To make your day inspiring and productive just create and use it wisely and intentionally. Decide what’s important to you and bring a clear focus into your day.
You can still do a range of other things. There are many hours in the day. It’s just that some things become your greater priority.
You could do your three inspiring or important activities in less than an hour first thing at the beginning of the day….and then carry this good feeling and sense of accomplishment with you from there.
Just choose your activities, then fit them in at the time which works best within your busy daily routine! Or spread them out and keep that good feeling lasting all day.
Sound good?
