14 REFLECTIONS FROM 2016 TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE AMAZING THINGS IN 2017. Part 5 - Challenge yourself. Sometimes you have to put yourself 'out there' in a big way to be successful in a big way. It's easy to hold back. It's easy to stay small. It's easy to hide up the back row. Do you ever hold back from saying what you think? Or asking for what you want? What about speaking your mind when your heart is racing? It's easy to doubt yourself and zip up thinking, 'perhaps no-one is really interested in what I have to say'. Perhaps now isn't 'the right time', 'the right place', perhaps 'they aren't interested in what I have to say', or worse still 'they should already know what I think'. But unless you have the courage to intentionally put yourself out there, unless you own up to your truth, speak your mind and be 100% authentically you, you'll never know what is possible for you. There is so much burning inside you just bursting to get out. These are your beliefs, values, dreams and desires. These are the parts of yourself which can literally change the world around you. Don't you really want to get it out there? To stand up, be proud and be heard? Maybe it's sharing a thought or idea you have with a colleague, your team, your partner, your family, or even your tribe. Or maybe it's having a challenging conversation with someone with whom you hold a different view. Do you still finding yourself holding back? Even when it's something you feel strongly about? What's getting in your way? Is it possible the only things standing between you and your grandest vision of your greatest life, are your own fears and doubts? Your willingness to trust yourself, to speak up, to own who you are and what you believe. Your willingness to trust others to hear what you have to say. If you want to achieve amazing things in 2017, then I urge you to consider, how are you going to move your life to the next level? What's it going to take? How can you put yourself out there? How are you going to play bigger and bolder to achieve your big goals and dreams?
